Les Amis d'Onno Jousting Practice
Lanton Hill Farm, Jedburgh, TD8 6SY. From the A68 take the A698 towards Hawick. Turn left for Lanton Village 1.5 miles along, follow road through Lanton Village and continue up the hill for 0.5 miles. Lanton Hill Farm is first farm track on right.
Disabled access and facilities, good parking and toilets. Outside arena a short walk up a gradual hill. Seating on grass, bring chair if preferred.
6pm - 7pm Entrance by donation to BHS Borders All ages welcome
Come and watch the troupe Les Amis d'Onno practice for their Summer Jousting Shows. Magnificent Friesians and beautiful Andalusians practicing and being trained down the tilt for Medieval Jousting.

An evening with Caspian Horses
Stichill Stables House, Kelso TD5 7TJ
One mile north of Stichill off the B6364 on the old Stichill Estate. Turn in at North Lodge.

6.30pm - 9pm Entrance by donation to BHS (Borders)
A chance to learn about this ancient, rare and precious breed of small horses and view some examples including pure and part bred stallions. This elegant breed was recorded in ancient history and rediscovered in the 1960's in its native Iran beside the Caspian Sea. Subsequent breeding programmes have resulted in the preservation of the breed which is typically 11.2 to 12 hands high, but very much a horse not a pony - with a lovely nature, excellent confirmation, beautiful movement and a fantastic jumping ability which is well suited to driving and showing.
