About us
The Borders Festival of the Horse is organised by the BHS Scotland Borders Committee whose volunteers work throughout the year to ensure that the Festival offers the best of equine entertainment.
About the Festival
The first Festival of the Horse was held in 2002 and was the brainchild of the Borders branch of the British Horse Society who now run it annually. Since then, the Festival has gone from strength to strength, with more and more people attending each year. It is an event unique in the whole of the UK and provides something for everyone whether they are riders or spectators. Special emphasis is always placed on the guided rides which prove amazingly popular each year.
