Programme of Events 2008
The programme of events at this year’s Borders Festival of the Horse offers an 11-day gourmet choice of equestrian activities for riders and spectators. All aspects of equestrianism are covered from “try your hand” events to the BHS Borders Grand Competition Day - the choice is endless!
Riders of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to learn about the growing sport of BHS TREC. Peelham Farm (Foulden, near Eyemouth) are hosting a training day on Sat 24th May followed by a competition on Sun 25th May. You can download the entry form here.
Art Exhibition “The Horse and the Borders”
McHardy’s Gallery, Biggiesknowe, Peebles EH45. From Innerleithen turn onto Peebles High Street, travel to far end then turn right over the Cuddy Bridge. Gallery is on right hand side.

Duke of Buccleuch’s FSC Lurcher, Terrier & All Variety Show
Houdshall, Midlem, Selkirk. Houdshall is situated North of Midlem on the B6453, which leaves the A699 St Boswells to Selkirk road opposite Clailawmuir Farm. Venue will be signposted.

12noon – 5pm • Entry £2 per car (£1 single) • No booking required • All entries on field from 12noon
Lurcher, Terrier and all variety classes. Also children’s fun classes, dog agility and dog racing.

10am – 4pm • Free to spectators • Entry fee as per schedule ( competitors) • No entries on the field
A friendly, local gymkhana for all ages from Under 5’s lead rein to Adult Open. Competitions include Show Jumping, Working hunter, Equitation, Handy Pony & Games.
