The programme of events at this year’s Borders Festival of the Horse offers a 13-day gourmet choice of equestrian activities for riders and spectators. All aspects of equestrianism are covered from “try your hand” events to the BHS Borders Grand Competition Day - the choice is endless!

rda vaulting
Border Group RDA School, Monteviot, Ancrum
6.30pm, entrance by donation to RDA. No booking required. Tea, coffee, tray bakes available for sale. Disabled access and facilities good.
A display by children from Border Group RDA and Scottish Borders Vaulters. All ages and abilities from beginners to international standard.

Showjumping schooling rounds
Brothershiels Farm, Heriot EH38 5YF (signposted from A7 just north of Heriot Village, 1.5m from A7)
3pm onwards. £4 per round. Booking required.
30x45m arena, including fillers, water tray, planks, skinny, corner and barrels. Grass warm up.
