About Us

The first Festival of the Horse was held in 2002 and was the brainchild of the Borders branch of the British Horse Society who now run it annually. Since then, the Festival has gone from strength to strength, with more and more people attending each year. It is an event unique in the whole of the UK and provides something for everyone whether they are riders or spectators. Special emphasis is always placed on the guided rides and there are more rides in 2008 than ever before.
